War Memorials

This archive of the names of men (and one woman, Lady Gerard) from our memorials has grown since 2008. It has been a fascinating task and we are delighted to share it widely.

We hope others will share additional information with us to enhance these stories further? We have not displayed all the background information we have on these people, but will be happy to forward this if you have a family connection or other interest.

We are also grateful to Brian Kaighin in South Africa for filling in details of men from the Boer War. See www.ladysmithhistory.com. Invaluable other sources are: www.cwgc.org and twgpp.org

If you have further information about any of these men we would be delighted if you would contact us at War Memorials

Finally, if you are in Ashton we should be delighted to see you at church - please introduce yourself, we will make you very welcome.

David Fearnley , John Holden & Helen Stuart
