Mission Sri Lanka April 2006

Dear Friends,

I have been invited to go on a missions trip to Sri Lanka for two weeks in April. I have accepted the invitation but I am appealing to the churches for help in sponsoring me.

I have prepared some information boards regarding the mission which will be in church for you to read and look at in January, it will be a very full itinerary and hard work, but I know it's what God's called me to do at this stage in my ministry.

I prayed that the Lord would make me 'useable' in His service and He is doing! (not a prayer to pray lightly.)

I believe God gives us divine opportunities that we can either accept or dismiss, in one way it shows us how much we put our trust in Jesus.

I feel so privileged to be used by the Lord in this way.

I am paying my own fare and sorting out my own accommodation, the money I'm trying to raise is for the Gospel outreach and humanitarian relief projects due to war, tsunami and at present flooding due to monsoons.

I am planning a sponsored walk carrying a cross from the churches at Stubshaw Cross to Liverpool Cathedral on Saturday 28th January 2006 in aid of the mission, would you consider sponsoring me? Jesus told us to take up our cross daily so that's what I'm doing!Maybe you could think of ways of helping or raising some funds, it would be great if you could!

By the time I go, I should be a licensed reader, God willing, I see this mission as another step on my personal journey with Jesus, I love Him and trust Him completely and live to serve Him to the best of my ability.
So please look out for the information boards in church and please prayerfully consider what the Lord would have you do to help.

Yours in Jesus

Advance prayers for Sri Lanka, please pray for:
