The Boys Brigade Southport Display

This years Northwest District Display will take place on Saturday the 5th April at the Southport Arts Centre. 1st Ashton in Makerfield Boys Brigade Company Section will be performing in the display. We have a limited number of tickets for the afternoon performance starting at 3pm, and the evening performance starting at 7pm. Tickets are priced at £4.50 for Adults and £3.50 for children under 12. For tickets contact Gareth Hamlett on 01942 740812, unfortunately there will be no coach travelling to the display as in previous years.


The D of E Car Wash

Thank you to everyone who supported us last Saturday we raised £140 for the ‘Huntington's Association’, and got very wet.


Calling all young people age 14-18

If you are aged 14-18 years you are invited to join the new start of the ‘Bell-tower boomers’ a young peoples group who meet part way through the service each Sunday (when all the children and young people leave for Sunday school). This will start from Sunday the 13th April, please sign up at the back of church, or just come along on the 13th April.


Volunteers needed

We need two volunteers to deliver Church magazines locally on a monthly basis, if you would like to do this please speak to either Mike or Denise.


Magazine co-ordinator

We are looking for some to co-ordinate the distribution of the Church magazine, if you are interested please speak to either Mike or Denise, thanks.


New To You’ fashion show

Calling all ladies, spring is on its way, so now is the time to do a bit of a wardrobe clearance. On Tuesday the 15th April the ‘Open Four You’ Fund Raising Committee are holding a ‘New To You fashion’ show in aid of the next stage of the church restoration work. So please start clearing now, what you no longer require, or doesn't fit anymore, maybe provide someone else with a new spring wardrobe. More details and tickets on sale soon.


Fair Trade Party

Thank you to all who attended the Fair Trade party last week. St least £550 was taken over half of which will go straight to the people who make the goods, helping to make a difference to their families and communities.


Sole Survivor

This year CYFA are hopefully going to take a group of young people down to Stafford to attend Soul Survivor. This is a camping event run by Soul Survivor Church and involves modern, lively worship, great bible teaching and lots of other activities. We’re looking for anyone of any age who would like to come along with us, who would be prepared to help out with cooking arrangements while we are camping. Anyone interested see Ali or Denise for more details.

St. Thomas Church. Tickets £5 & £3 concs. Profits raised will be split between: Open for You appeal and Sri Lanka Orphanage. See list at back of church to order tickets.
