Parish Weekend

This year we will be heading back to Cloverley Hall for our Parish weekend between the 9th and 11th of September. Although we are fully booked this year, if you would like more information for next year please do not hesitate to asked Barbara or Malcolm.

Not sure what to expect, you aren't alone, here's exactly what Kevin thought as he headed to Cloverley Hall for the first time last September.

I was unsure exactly what to expect when I first booked to go on the Parish weekend to Cloverley, however as we drove over the cattle grid and arrived at our Stately Home for the weekend I was immediately impressed.

The children immediately set about investigating and making the house their own. They spent the whole weekend enjoying and exploring the endless staircases and gardens.

The crèche’ facilities kept the children entertained with nature walks and rabbit watching and the toddlers made a lovely banner which they presented on the Sunday.

Whilst all this was going on it offered the parents the opportunity to fully partake with the challenging and enlightening workshops. The guest speaker Jeff Pearson gave a thought provoking presentation which both informed and entertained every person present.

The Saturday night concert provided a rib-tickling feast for everyone present and involved the youngest to the oldest and the herbal-tea provided refreshment for all!!!!

The weekend was rounded off on the Sunday by a fantastic communion service, where the roof was almost brought down with the voices of praise.

On the whole our first visit to Cloverley was an unforgettable experience and I would urge everyone who has not yet been to pencil a date in your diary for next year.
